County Best Bitter 4.0 % abv A quality best bitter with great hop and malt aromas. together with a punching bitterness. Was originally brewed as "Nethergate Bitter", the grist now having been restored to the original 1986 recipe. |

Augustinian Ale Premium beer 4.5 % abv A wonderfully smooth drinking premium beer, with a hint of crystal malt. The late addition of Styrian Goldings in the boil lends the beer a continental flavour. Originally brewed to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the founding of the Augustinian priory in Clare, the original home of Nethergate. |

Umbel Ale Speciality Beer 3.8 % abv Freshly toasted coriander seeds are added to the grist and at the later stages of the boil, resulting in a festival of flavour and aroma. This delightful beer is a real thirst quencher, and is particularly good as an accompaniment to curry. Winner of numerous beer festivals, including gold at the CAMRA 2007 Great British Beer Festival. |

Essex
Border Bitter 4.8% abv A new golden beer from Nethergate, drinking more like a best bitter than its strength suggests. The fruity and spicy overtones are noticeable from the start on the nose and palate, whilst at the end the the sweet, soft orange notes return, resulting in a complete, well-rounded finish.

Old Growler Porter 5.0 % abv Our famous porter has won at the CAMRA winter festival twice, the only brewery to do so, first in 1998 and again in 2003, also winning the highest accolade Supreme Champion in 2003. Also Supreme Champion at the Chicago International Beer Festival in 2004, in the porter category. A complex, satisfying porter, smooth and distinctive. Roast malt and fruit feature in the palate. The finish is powerfully hoppy with a hint of liquorice. Sometimes available as Growler Extra, at 5.5 % abv. |
